Do you remember in Indiana Jones, at the end, when the badguy's face melts from looking at the Arc? Well, here's my version. I made this for a charity auction next month with an 80's movie theme.
I had some free time, so I decided to branch out and start creating miniature historical costumes. The first is a 'robe a la francaise' dress from the middle of the Eighteenth Century, complete with paniers and petticoat.

My sister got married in August. She wanted a traditional gown with draping pick-ups, but only in the back of the dress. I was more than happy to make it for her.
This week I made a cupid costume for a photo shoot with comedian Christopher Titus. The eye-patch was a last-minute addition on set. For wings you can use either a harness around the shoulders or from the waist. Since his shoulders are bare, I went with the waist harness. I used boning on either side of the wing support to keep the harness from buckling.
